REVIEW PRINCIPLES

HONESTY PRINCIPLE

If the selected reviewer is unsure whether his qualifications are consistent with the level of research presented in the manuscript, he should return the manuscript immediately.

OBJECTIVITY PRINCIPLE

The reviewer must objectively assess the quality of the manuscript, the presented experimental and theoretical work, its interpretation and presentation, and also take into account the extent to which the work meets high scientific and literary standards. The reviewer must respect the intellectual independence of the authors.

NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST PRINCIPLE

The reviewer should not evaluate the manuscript with the author or co-author of which he/she has a personal or professional relationship, and if such relationship may affect the judgment of the manuscript.

CONFIDENTIALITY PRINCIPLE

The reviewer must treat the manuscript sent for review as a confidential document. He/she should not show the manuscript to others or discuss it with other colleagues, except in special cases when the reviewer needs someone's special advice.

ARGUMENTATION PRINCIPLE

Reviewers should adequately explain and argue their judgments so that editors and authors can understand what their comments are based on. Any statement that an observation, conclusion or argument has already been posted must be accompanied by an appropriate link.
